Bush says spying leak causes great harm - U.S. Security - MSNBC.com
OK, so here's a pet peeve of mine. This current president that we have is a raving lunatic, who can't even speak coherently half the time.
He led us into an ill-gotten war. Had Saddam actually had weapons of mass destruction, I would think that this would be a little less of a sore subject with me. However, the intelligence that led us where we are today was faulty at best, at worst, entirely fabricated to serve a political agenda.
Now for the topic of that story, the ultra-secret doemstic spying program. It really doesn't matter how limited it was, even if it was just one person (but the evidence suggests tens of thousands), it's just plain illegal and immoral.
There is a process in this country when we want to put someone under survellience for a crime that they may either have commitied or are conspiring to commit. It's called a search warrant! They can even be entered sealed (so the searchee doesn't know about them)! I know that this might sound a little far-off to the president, to actually uphold the freedoms that he swore to uphold when he was sworn into office.
The Congress is correct to be having hearings over this. I find it absolutely amazing that this country can impeach a president because he slept with someone (really between him, Monica, and Hilary if you ask me), but there's been no calls to impeach this two-faced liar, who is incapable of serving in the capacitiy to which he was somehow elected.
Oh well, enough ranting for now.
